#GettingToKnow Andréa Albright, CEO & Founder @ Beverly Hills Publishing

Published by

Businesses fade, brands endure; author Andréa Albright argues that while businesses may fade into obscurity, brands possess the remarkable ability to endure indefinitely. This compelling premise challenges the traditional mindset surrounding long-term success.

The book “Branding Investing” by Albright convincingly demonstrates that investing solely in businesses or relying on conventional marketing strategies fails to provide sustainable growth. Albright emphasizes the necessity of creating a brand that is worthy of investment and explains how brands have the potential to yield substantial returns over time.

As investors explore potential opportunities, they are increasingly drawn to brands as a reliable avenue for capital returns. Merely pouring funds into a business or marketing efforts alone fails to establish a sustainable trajectory for growth.

Andréa Albright is a highly respected publisher known for her extraordinary ability to create multimillion-dollar brands. Her expertise in branding, marketing, and the power of authority brings a unique perspective and invaluable insights to businesses and investors. To learn more, we caught up with Andréa herself this week to truly get to know what makes her such a unique and dynamic indvidual.

Tell us a bit about your role! Is there a “typical” day?

My day typically begins at 4:30 in the morning. Upon waking up, I kickstart my day with a refreshing cup of green tea, followed by a session of either yoga or a workout at the gym. This morning exercise routine has proven to be a vital cornerstone of my daily life, as it infuses me with heightened energy, a sharper focus, and a more positive perspective. Consequently, I've made a deliberate choice to prioritize my health and fitness above all else.

By around 9:00 a.m., I'm usually settled into my office. At this point, I direct my attention towards identifying the most impactful endeavours for my business. Whether it involves crafting an article, advancing a book project, or implementing innovative marketing strategies, I seize this initial part of the day to harness my creativity and enhance my productivity. This early phase is where I often experience profound insights and generate significant outcomes through my concentrated efforts.

*

Around 10:00 a.m., my schedule usually shifts to accommodate calls, during which I engage with clients, potential clients, or investors. These interactions contribute to the dynamic rhythm of my day. As the clock approaches 4:00 p.m., I wrap up my work activities, allowing myself time to wind down. I indulge in a leisurely dinner and engage in relaxation, whether it's through reading, watching television, or enjoying the company of friends and loved ones.

Given my natural inclination as an early riser, I tend to retire early as well. By 9:30 or 10:00 p.m., I'm typically settling into bed during weekdays. However, my weekend routine offers more flexibility. I embrace a relaxed schedule, allowing myself to stay up late and sleep in, effectively catching up on much-needed rest. This personalized approach has proven to be an incredibly effective strategy for optimizing both my productivity and well-being, as I simultaneously work towards building my professional empire.

What was the biggest challenge in getting to your current position?

The biggest challenge in getting to my current position is that I am disrupting a 100 billion dollar publishing industry and the business model I have created needed to have proof of concept. This means that I needed to show that this business model could be applied to multiple industries and sectors.

This pursuit, aimed at proving the adaptability of my concept, has demanded an extensive investment of time and energy, all of which I've personally financed. The weight of uncertainty regarding funding loomed large, introducing its own share of stress.

Nevertheless, my unyielding belief that traditional publishing inadequately serves authors at their highest potential propelled me forward. My unwavering determination was fueled by a desire to empower authors, liberating them from the barriers of writing, publishing, and book marketing.

This ambition led to a remarkable milestone – we have successfully published works in 25 distinct industries and the count continues to rise. Beyond the realm of publishing, our groundbreaking approach of not only producing books but also broadcasting them across diverse media channels has even catalyzed the emergence of several multimillion-dollar brands.

The true measure of our achievement lies in the extraordinary success experienced by our authors. Their accomplishments include forging impactful partnerships, accessing global business prospects, securing investor funding, and even venturing into the realm of IPOs. These achievements embody the essence of aspirations fulfilled. At Beverly Hills Publishing, we revel in the privilege of contributing to the transformation of authors' dreams into tangible reality.

What is your personal background and what role did it play in your career?

My personal journey is rooted in my initial foray into writing, which took shape in 2006 when I penned my inaugural book. This experience marked a transformative turning point, altering the trajectory of my life in profound ways.

The act of becoming an author yielded a remarkable shift in how I was perceived – a surge in respect, an amplified audience for my thoughts and perspectives, and an influx of extensive, invaluable publicity for my business, courtesy of the media's eagerness to engage me in interviews centered around my literary works.

Upon successfully establishing my own global brand, an epiphany dawned upon me – a revelation that I had indeed deciphered the enigmatic formula for propelling an authoritative brand onto the scene, even within the most cutthroat and competitive industries. This realization galvanized my pursuit, culminating in the authorship of over 20 books, with my sights firmly set on the creation of my next literary offering.

*

I am steadfast in my belief that assuming the role of a true thought leader, positioned at the vanguard of one's industry, extends beyond the realm of mere opportunity. It's a resolute responsibility, one that emerges from possessing a unique vantage point that grants insights unattainable by others. This perspective fuels my commitment as a visionary entrepreneur.

It was this very vision that propelled the genesis of a disruptive business model – a model that has sent seismic ripples through the colossal 100-billion-dollar publishing industry. Our multi-dimensional approach fuses marketing, publishing, public relations, and branding, a cross-vertical media upheaval that stands as the first of its kind. This paradigm shift finds its roots in my own accomplishments as a trailblazing entrepreneur, having successfully nurtured brands within some of the globe's most fiercely competitive sectors – spanning fitness, entrepreneurship, and now the realm of publishing.

What is your biggest career-related win? What is your biggest loss?

My most significant accomplishment in my career has been my journey as a completely self-made entrepreneur over the course of two decades. This achievement is a testament to my unwavering commitment to crafting products and services that not only address market needs but also deliver substantial value.

Throughout this journey, I've embraced personal growth and the expansion of my businesses with resolute determination, relying solely on my own efforts and determination to create exceptional value within every market I've entered.

What sets this journey apart is the profound personal development and self-awareness it has instilled in me. As a visionary entrepreneur, I've often found myself traversing a solitary path, with my unique vision often met with skepticism and disbelief from others. This solitude, while challenging, has been the crucible in which my most significant achievements were forged.

Amidst the chorus of doubt, I've remained steadfast in my belief, listening intently to my inner voice and fully embracing the vision that guides me. This unwavering self-trust has been the cornerstone of my success and has allowed me to turn what others might have deemed unrealistic into reality.

Which individuals and/or agencies do you gain inspiration from? Do you have any heroes in the industry?

I draw inspiration from visionary global leaders who have left an indelible mark on the media industry. The likes of Oprah Winfrey, Ariana Huffington, Richard Branson, and Elon Musk are the heroes I admire.

*

In observing these towering figures, I find their ability to consistently redefine the boundaries of what's achievable and the remarkable feats a single individual can accomplish within a lifetime truly compelling. Their contributions serve as a guiding light, motivating me to push the envelope and explore the boundless possibilities within the media landscape.

If you could go back to your teenage years, would you have done things differently? Do you have any regrets?

In the journey of self-evolution, I harbor no regrets for any phase, including my tumultuous teenage years. However, a yearning remains. Had I been introduced to entrepreneurial concepts and transformative, quantum-leap learning methods sooner—such as speed reading—my trajectory could have been altered profoundly.

Such early exposure would have supercharged my innate abilities, granting me an edge to refine and amplify my visionary entrepreneurial and creative prowess to unparalleled heights.

If you weren’t in your current industry, what would you be doing?

If I were to step away from my current industry, my alternate path would likely find me teaching yoga in a serene and distant location such as Bali, or perhaps on idyllic tropical islands like the Maldives or Fiji. The practice of yoga has woven its way deeply into my personal, physical, spiritual, and emotional existence for well over two decades.

My yoga certification stands as a testament to my enduring commitment to sharing the science and therapeutic benefits of this practice with others. In this alternate reality, I envision myself as a yogi, venturing across the globe with my hair tied in a bun and my trusty yoga mat in tow. My mission: to illuminate the lives of those who are open to embracing the transformative power of yoga, all while leaving my mark as a visionary entrepreneur.

What’s your one big dream for the future of the industry?

My one big dream for the media industry is one where the stage is always set for authentic, positive, and honest messages to take the spotlight and be readily accessible. In our media-saturated world, many remain oblivious to the profound impact the content they consume can have on their thoughts and mental well-being. Media's influence extends even deeper, shaping brain chemistry and how we connect with ourselves and others.

Think of media as the water surrounding a fish – an ever-present environment that often goes unnoticed. Just as fish swim in water without a second thought, we navigate a sea of media in our daily lives. As someone entrenched in the media industry, I see both a passion and a responsibility. It's about amplifying voices of true authority, spreading messages that enlighten, embolden, and uplift.

*

This duty goes beyond personal choice; it's a moral compass. Those of us in the media realm possess the power to shape perspectives, weaving positivity into the fabric of people's lives. We stand at a crossroads, recognizing that our actions either contribute to a cycle of fear, superstition, and misinformation or pave the way for constructive change in every aspect of human existence.

My hope is that through intentional messaging, we can redefine the narrative. By spotlighting positive stories, insights, and ideas, we can create a ripple effect, touching the lives of those who engage with our content. As I peer into the horizon of the media landscape, I envision a future where optimism drowns out negativity, where the stories we share are a source of inspiration, and where the collective human experience is enriched by the media's unwavering commitment to uplifting narratives.

What are your top tips for aspiring creative professionals?

Trust in your art and embrace the wellspring of your creativity while consistently honing your craft through practice. An invaluable avenue to fuel your artistic pursuits lies in mastering the art of business. When the opportunity arises to generate income from your creative endeavours and align it with your artistic vision, seize it with enthusiasm. It's a common misconception that creative souls must endure hardship or forfeit their passions for success. I challenge this notion.

In my perspective, true creativity flourishes when bolstered by a solid foundation in business. This realization prompted me to immerse myself in the world of entrepreneurship, safeguarding my brand, my message, and my creative autonomy. My books, image, name, and the entirety of my launched enterprises stand as a testament to this approach, each wholly owned by me. This fortification shields my creative integrity, ensuring that I retain the final say in what I create and convey.

Such empowerment, where creativity and business harmoniously coexist, is a rarity – a pinnacle of artistic fulfilment that eludes many due to misconceptions that one must either compromise their creativity for success or forfeit success to remain aligned with their artistic vision. I'm here to affirm that you can navigate both realms successfully. In fact, being a creative professional within the realm of business bestows a unique advantage.

To thrive, maintain a steadfast focus on nurturing your creativity while strategically seeking business opportunities that not only sustain but amplify your artistic pursuits. Embrace these opportunities wholeheartedly, and devote time to acquiring business acumen and entrepreneurial insights. By integrating these facets, you will not only safeguard your creativity but also open doors to a world where your art and business prowess synergize to fuel your exceptional journey.

What are your top tips for other creative leaders?

My top advice for fellow creative leaders is that we are at a crucial crossroads of opportunity and responsibility. The creative outputs—encompassing arts and products—that we are crafting wield a profound global influence, and this impact is unfolding at an accelerated pace.

Hence, my aim is to empower creative leaders to maintain alignment with their genuine truths and authentic voices. The presence of leaders well-versed in their ethics, morals, and unwavering stances, all attuned to their clearest visions, ensures an absence of susceptibility to corruption, insecurity, or external manipulation.

*

The need for empowered creative leaders has never been more pronounced. This empowerment stems from profound self-awareness—recognizing one's identity and principles—and from establishing businesses that resonate with these very values and objectives.

Through this endeavour, a powerful dynamic takes shape: a magnetic pull that draws like-minded individuals who share in these convictions. Consequently, your organization transforms into a global creative force, capable of impacting millions worldwide.

When you think about your team, what is the thing that matters to you the most?

When I contemplate my team, what holds the greatest significance for me is our alignment with Beverly Hills Publishing's vision. Our purpose revolves around illuminating the luminaries—those remarkable individuals representing the pinnacle 1% in every industry.

These luminaries, as the true authorities and visionaries, lead the industry's progression. Our role is to magnify their influence, providing a platform through various media channels. This ripple effect not only transforms the author's life irrevocably but also extends its impact to every recipient of their message and reader of their book.

As a team, our synchronization with this vision drives our actions. Day by day, we wholeheartedly embrace our clients, surpassing expectations, and tending to their needs. Our devotion guides them through the intricate journey of publishing and launching their work to the world—a process that can often appear daunting and overwhelming. Our team's compassion for people, especially their dedication to the profound impact that each message can affect, forms the core of our commitment.

When I reflect upon the team's alignment, it becomes evident that they themselves embody the spirit of visionaries. They possess the ability to grasp the overarching vision and its boundless potential. Moreover, they harbour an unwavering belief that every individual holds the power to contribute positively to humanity's collective betterment.

Do you have any websites, books or resources you would recommend?

The websites, resources, and books I recommend include "Reality Transurfing" by Vadim Zeland. This book enables you to transcend the daily minutiae of pain, struggles, and obstacles, delving into a profound philosophical exploration of quantum-level manifestation, transforming your visions into reality. Additionally, I suggest "Light on Life" by Ayengar, a comprehensive yoga book that extends beyond physical postures to encompass the deep-rooted philosophy that spans millennia.

In the realm of business, a staple for welcoming new team members is "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey. This enduring masterpiece remains a pinnacle of business literature; adopting its seven habits can lead to a life of excellence. Of course, I always advocate for my own books. "Visionary Boss" encapsulates my early entrepreneurial experiences, while "Authority Catalyst" outlines the strategies for launching an authoritative brand within the most competitive industries. "Branding Investing" details the art of creating investor-attractive brands. Continuously, I produce books on entrepreneurship and authority brand-building.

I firmly believe that nurturing an extraordinary vision, one that serves others can evolve into a lifelong devotion. Such a commitment grants clarity, focus, and meaning, allowing you to serve others while crafting an extraordinary existence.
